Ouch! This is much better than a boring old metatarsal break - a proper bone snap.
Just in case anybody thought he didn't fancy playing in the cold, here's proof that Joe isn't faking it. The top of my arm is feeling sore just looking at it.
Thankfully he is well on the road to recovery and expects to be able to open his Christmas presents without too much difficulty. Perhaps we'll see him on the touchline soon (or maybe he'll be sensible and stay tucked up in bed!).
